THE CHALLENGE
Seabrook Manor's underground parking sits behind two ESB substations that were both already at maximum capacity — a hard stop for any new EV charging. The managing agent wanted charging for the whole development, which meant solving the supply problem before a single charger could go in.
THE SOLUTION
- New ESB connection & substation upgrade — GEV applied for a new connection and coordinated the upgrade of the north-side substation so the development had capacity.
- Full infrastructure for 21 bays — 10 live Easee 22kW chargers plus 11 pre-cabled blanks — the whole car park ready at once.
- Dedicated cabinet with smart balancing — an Easee equaliser sharing load and phase dynamically across all three phases.
- Grant handled for the OMC — the SEAI application prepared and submitted, with the ESB works covered by the grant.
